This page explains the terms and conditions that apply to all inspections, cleanings, servicing, evaluations, or related work performed by Gas Fireplace Services LLC. By scheduling, approving, or allowing service to be performed, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

Service Overview

Safety inspections are limited to visible and accessible components and are performed in good faith to improve safety and operation.
This service is not:

• A code-compliance inspection
• A home inspection
• An engineering evaluation
• A guarantee of future performance or safety

All reasonable precautions are taken within the scope of the service.

Release and Waiver of Liability

By using the services of Gas Fireplace Services LLC, the client voluntarily waives any and all claims related to the servicing of the gas fireplace, including but not limited to:

• Injury
• Property damage
• Emotional loss
• Death

This waiver applies to the client and their heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and representatives.

Pre-Existing or Hidden Conditions

Gas Fireplace Services LLC is not responsible for:

• Hidden or concealed hazards
• Structural issues
• Improper prior installations
• Conditions not visible during a standard inspection

The property owner is responsible for maintaining proper clearances from combustible materials.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gas Fireplace Services LLC is not liable for:

• Direct damages
• Indirect damages
• Incidental damages
• Consequential damages
  related to services performed.

Post-Service Responsibility

After service is completed:

• The property owner assumes full responsibility for use of the fireplace.
• Gas Fireplace Services LLC is not responsible for fires, damages, or injuries occurring after service.
• Services are based solely on visible conditions at the time of inspection.

Owner Responsibilities

The property owner is fully responsible for:

• Ongoing safety
• Monitoring the appliance
• Proper operation
• Routine maintenance

Scope of Service

Services are generally limited to routine inspection, cleaning, and maintenance.
Typical services may include:

• Cleaning pilot assembly
• Cleaning thermocouple or thermopile
• Cleaning burners
• Clearing air inlets
• Removing combustion debris

Services typically do not include:

• Disassembly of gas lines
• Internal gas-flow components
• System redesign or modification

No Code or Permit Certification

Gas Fireplace Services LLC does not:

• Certify compliance with building, fire, gas, or mechanical codes
• Replace required permits or official inspections

No Engineering or Design Services

Services do not include:

• Engineering
• System sizing
• Design
• Venting calculations
• Gas supply modifications

Any recommendations are general safety observations only.

Client Safety Responsibilities

The client agrees to follow basic safety practices, including:

• Supervising use of the fireplace
• Maintaining clearance from combustibles
• Using the appliance properly
• Protecting children from hazards
• Providing adequate ventilation
• Following manufacturer run-time limits

Unsafe Conditions

If an unsafe condition is found:

• The appliance may be shut down.
• Continued operation without correction is at the client’s risk.

Emissions and Air-Quality Disclaimer

Gas Fireplace Services LLC does not guarantee:

• Absence of carbon monoxide (CO)
• Absence of combustion byproducts
• Indoor air-quality levels

Emission levels may change at any time due to:

• Appliance condition
• Venting performance
• Airflow
• Fuel quality
• Building conditions
• User operation

No long-term air-quality monitoring is provided.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors

The client is responsible for installing and maintaining:

• Working CO detectors
• Any required safety monitoring devices
  in accordance with manufacturer instructions and local regulations.

Parts Disclaimer

No warranty or guarantee is provided on:

• Parts installed
• Parts supplied by the client
• Parts supplied by Gas Fireplace Services LLC

Gas Odor Safety Notice

If you smell gas:

1. Leave the area immediately.
2. Do not use lights, switches, or phones near the odor.
3. From a safe distance, call Huntsville Utilities at (256) 535-1200.
4. For propane, contact your propane supplier immediately.

Do not attempt to locate the leak yourself.

Subrogation Waiver

The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Gas Fireplace Services LLC from any claims, damages, or legal costs arising from use of the services.

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.
Any disputes shall be resolved in Madison County, Alabama.

Severability

If any part of this agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Acceptance of Terms

By scheduling, approving, or allowing service to be performed, the client acknowledges that they:

• Have read this agreement
• Understand the terms
• Voluntarily accept all conditions and limitations described above.
